What I did on my (Christmas) Vacation (part 3)
We repainted the scullery way back at the commencement of summer. It was the first reside to be redecorated when we moved in almost fifteen years ago. The range was so execrable that we started on it the afternoon we signed the papers. It was orange and treacherous. No kidding. Orange and malignant, with a eerie wallpaper border of European fad children carrying swords, and burnt orange indoor-alfresco carpet.
Back then we painted the walls and woodwork several shades of pallid, and decorated with blue stenciling decent under the realm molding. The curtains were made from the Smithsonian duplicate fabrics from the Urbane War era, pre-eminent for this 1860 brothel.
The new brick up color is a jolly blue, almost periwinkle, pulled from my dearest Blue Willow dishes. The blue of the old curtains clashed with the new divider color and had to go. I found only just the promptly fabrics several months ago. They’ve been stacked up next to my acrimonious columnar list, well-grounded waiting their whack.
