Is there a cheaper alternative to swiffer sweeper dust cloths?

I had a huge box and love them because they collect dust and so when you're done, you can simply throw them away. I hate cleaning. Anyway I went to the store and they are much more expensive than I remember. anyone to discern a less expensive alternative that works as well?
I use old towels cut conflict to adapt and mitigate either them or by spraying with a nationally recognized margarine lemon scented dust. Then wash them for reuse.
